Craig D. Peppler, D.O.
Craig D. Peppler, D.O., FAOCOPM, has been affiliated with Spine Sports & Occupational Medicine since 2010. Dr. Peppler treats the entire spectrum of spinal pain, utilizing interventional approaches such as fluoroscopically-guided spinal injections coupled with advanced techniques of radio frequency neurolysis, spinal cord stimulation, and pharmacologic management.
In 2010, Dr. Peppler was invited to become the fourth partner in a state-of-the-art outpatient surgical center-the Pain Clinic of Michigan—where he also currently practices in Rochester and Sterling Heights, Michigan. He also holds staff privileges at Crittenton Hospital Ascension Health-Department of Family Practice in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
Dr. Peppler was also the founder and owner of North Oakland Urgent Care (NOUC) from 1989 through 2004, where he focused his practice on comprehensive occupational medicine, including the treatment of neck and back pain in patients.
He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1985 from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, now known as the Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience (KCUMB), in Kansas City, Missouri. Following graduation, he completed a rotating internship at POH Medical Center in Pontiac, Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan, in 1981.
Dr. Peppler continued his postgraduate training in occupational medicine through the OJ/OC program at the University of Michigan, School of Public Health, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he received a Master’s Degree in Public Health in 1989. He has been certified in Occupational Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Preventive Medicine since 1997, and was made a Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Preventive and Occupational Medicine in 2002 in recognition of service to his peers for teaching, lecturing and holding leadership positions.
Dr. Peppler has lectured frequently at national meetings on a variety of occupational medicine topics, such as musculoskeletal pain and drug screenings, for The Americans with Disabilities Act and other similar entities. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Peppler served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Osteopathic College of Occupational & Preventive Medicine.
