Physical Therapy services for Paralysis
Active rehabilitative exercise involves movement on your own. Passive rehabilitative exercise involves assisting yourself or receiving assistance through a movement. Passive rehabilitative exercise is suitable for stroke survivors recovering from paralysis because it does not require movement. Rather, passive exercise involves using your ‘good’ side to assist your paralyzed muscles.
If both sides of your body were affected by stroke (in the case of multiple strokes), a therapist may assist your paralyzed muscles through physical therapy.
